The Beaumont Event Center is part of a redevelopment, led by Scott Slaney, FASLA formally of SWA Group, of 16 acres in downtown Beaumont. The goal was for the new area to serve as a catalyst, counteracting the devastation of Hurricane Rita. This project is Phase 1 of a masterplan concept. The event center is 20,000 square feet and serves as a focal point addressing the lake and great lawn, providing space for functions such as business meetings, trade shows, Quinceañeras, and civic celebrations. There are three primary, flexible meeting rooms that may be combined with the lobby to serve as many as 1,000 people for big events.
