Happy Birthday Studio RED Architects

Studio RED Architects Celebrates Eight Years of Design and Services in Houston

Studio RED Architects celebrated its eighth year of design, renovation, interior, planning and sustainability services on October 1st, 2012. Studio RED Architects was founded in 2004 by four principals who wanted to create a different kind of architecture firm where client service is as important as design. The four principals have a collective experience totaling over 90 years and include partners Pete Ed Garrett, AIA; Trung H. Doan, AIA; Brady Vinje, AIA and Jared Wood AIA – each distinguished in the architectural  profession. Bill Neuhaus, FAIA, LEED AP and Sheila M. Rowley, RA LEED AP joined the team shortly thereafter.

In eight years, Studio RED Architects has built a project list that includes worship facilities, cultural arts, commercial and retail, entertainment, renovation, education, healthcare, civic, planning and residential projects. The experience team has the honor of working on such projects like the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, Wortham Center, Terminator 2 3:D at Universal Studios, Lakewood Church, Fellowship of the Woodlands, Brennan’s Restaurant, Memorial City Mall Renovation and the Texas Heart Institute.

“I feel fortunate my passion is also my life’s work. It’s what gets my heart going every day. It’s what generates an intense emotional drive to always create the best design that truly inspries and function. Nothing less will do,” says partner Pete Ed Garrett, AIA.

The Houston-based architecture firm is an award-winning firm because of the dedication and services they provide. They have been awarded a Houston Business Journal Landmark Award in the Rehabilitation/Renovation Category; Mayor’s Proud Partner Award, Good Brick Award in the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance, the Air Force Village Chapel Design Competition winner and most recently won the Design Competition for the Saudi General Consulate Offices in Houston, Texas.

“Without enthusiasm on the part of the architect, there is no energy, there is no excitement, there is no spirit. I believe it is infectious and makes the difference between creating an ordinary project and an extraordinary on,” says partner Trung H. Doan, AIA.
