Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is coming to Houston to surprise a lucky family with a new house, and you’re invited to the kick-off event! Join the Extreme Makeover team, Studio RED Architects and HHN Homes at Houston’s First Baptist Church July 19 at 7 p.m. for the volunteer pep rally. The goal of the show and the team involved is to construct a new, sustainable house for a deserving family in just one week. Among other local vendors and businesses, HHN Homes and Studio RED Architects volunteered their services to the cause. You can help, too!
“This is an opportunity to gather the community’s support, bring on vendors, donors and builders and get everyone excited about making a dream come true for a deserving family,” said Diane Korman, senior producer, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
HHN Homes is looking for both skilled and general volunteers to help give hope to this special family in Houston. There is also a current need for phone volunteers to help call other volunteers and coordinate efforts. Doors open for the pep rally at Houston’s First Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m., where big-hearted Houstonians can celebrate with the city’s favorite sports mascots and with our community leaders.
