Studio RED continues to grow and expand with the promotion of two key architects and the expansion of services into Colorado. We are pleased to announce Alex Nguyen has recently been promoted to Principal, while Gwyndolyn Mowbray has been promoted to lead our new Denver office as Managing Director. We are excited about the new changes at Studio RED and look forward to our continued dedication to the Houston community, as well as Denver.
Studio RED Opens Its Doors in Denver, Led by Gwyndolyn Mowbray
Studio RED has always had close ties to the Denver area and is looking forward to extending their reach, led by the talented Gwyndolyn Mowbray at the helm. Gwyndolyn joined Studio RED in 2012 and specializes in designing and managing theatre, commercial and sustainable projects, and is passionate about detail-oriented, flexible design.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity and challenge of expanding Studio RED’s reach in the Denver area,” notes Gwyndolyn. “I believe in this firm and the high quality architecture and service we provide.”
Gwyndolyn has worked on several high profile projects, including the Alley Theatre renovation, Memorial City Treehouse and Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land. She has also served as the firm’s BIM Manager for the last three years, as well as the Entertainment Committee head.
“Gwyndolyn is a talented young architect with an aptitude for business development and a keen attention to detail,” notes Partner Pete Ed Garrett. “She is the perfect person to head up our Denver office.”
Alex Nguyen Promoted to Principal at Studio RED
Studio RED is proud to announce nine-year veteran Alex Nguyen has been promoted to Principal. He has fulfilled the role of Project Manager, Lead Designer and Senior Architectural Manager on projects that include K-12 public schools, municipal, healthcare, retail, commercial and single- and multi-family residential. His most recent projects include House of Tiny Treasures, SEARCH Homeless Services and St. Clare of Assisi.
Other Promotions and New Hires
Studio RED also promoted George LaBeth to Senior Associate. With eight years of experience, he specializes in community centers and has worked on several of Studio RED’s community center projects. Alec Oshner was also recently hired to join the Studio RED team. He is a graduate of Iowa State University and worked as an architectural intern at Bluestone Project Solution in Johnston, Iowa prior to joining Studio RED.
