HOUSTON, TEXAS — Studio RED is excited to announce the promotions of several key team members including Gwyndolyn Mowbray Anderson to Principal, Marcia Eddington to Senior Associate and Chris Castaneda to Senior Associate. All three have been integral to the continued growth and success of the firm.
Gwyndolyn Mowbray Anderson, AIA, LEED® AP BD+C, joined Studio RED in 2012 and quickly became a valuable contributor. A licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional, Gwyndolyn has spent the last 10 years specializing in designing and managing theater and commercial projects. Gwyndolyn has worked on several high-profile projects including the Alley Theatre and Treehouse Memorial City in Houston, and Diamond Head Theater in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2015 Gwyndolyn opened Studio Red’s Denver office, operating in a unique seller/doer role, leading business development efforts, project pursuits, and architectural projects.
Studio RED Founding Partner Pete Ed Garrett notes that, “Promoting Gwyndolyn was an easy decision. Her commitment to the firm and ability to manage both projects and marketing efforts makes her unique. She’s also a natural and charismatic leader.”
Marcia Eddington, AIA, LEED® AP BC+C, is a licensed architect and LEED Accredited professional. Marcia has been a part of the Studio RED team since 2017 and has worked on a variety of projects from amenity centers to commercial projects including Veranda Recreational Center, Coastal Point Amenity Center, Grand Central Park Recreational Center and the award-winning Houston Farmers Market. Marcia’s commitment to sustainable design and passion for community involvement are an asset to the firm. Additionally, Marcia is heavily involved in Women in Architecture (WiA) Houston and has served as the Networking and Communication Chair for the last five years.
Chris Castaneda, RA, NCARB, joined Studio Red in 2013 and has played a key role in the design and documentation for numerous performing arts and educational projects including Midtown Arts and Theatre Center Houston, Main Street Theater, A.D. Players Theater, Episcopal High School Visual & Performing Arts Center and Holy Spirit Episcopal Church and School. A Registered Architect, Chris’ attention to detail and commitment to design excellence set him apart.
