Studio RED Architects was selected to repurpose a 12.5-acre shopping center at 7100 West Fuqua Drive over two phases. The master plan blends arts and culture, entrepreneurship, job creation, affordable housing, healthcare, quality early education, outdoor green space, and public art uses, necessary elements for building economically thriving communities. The plan was developed over four years and addresses several high priority needs identified through the Fort Bend Houston Complete Communities community planning and engagement process. The community center will feature a Performing Arts Center, restaurant and retail space, an outdoor park and after school care facilities.
